Comic Suzanne Westenhoefer slated for Therapetics April benefit

Stand-up comic Suzanne Westenhoefer is coming to Tulsa, all for the benefit of Therapetics Service Dogs of Oklahoma.

She will perform April 13 at the IDL Ballroom, 230 E. First St. Doors open at 7 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m.

Heralded as the first openly gay comedian to ever appear on TV, according to her website, Westenhoefer has made appearances on “The Late Show With David Letterman,” HBO, Bravo, Logo and GSN, as well as performing across the country in popular theaters and clubs, and at fundraisers.

Founded in 1992, Therapetics is a nonprofit working to enhance the lives of individuals living with physical disabilities by providing them with highly trained service dogs.

Tickets to Westenhoefer’s show are $20 for discount seats, $30 for general floor seating and $50 for VIP seating, which includes a reception. Seating is limited.
